Overview of the Elven species
Elves are human-like beings who were granted the gift of immortality by the deities of light for their loyalty and for living according to their laws.
Elves do not die of old age. Weapons, spells, and other lethal forces can still end their lives just as they can those of mortals.
Long ago, the Elves lived in seclusion in the forests of Sênnurîel. Their people cared mainly for themselves, the forest, and nature. This long isolation also helps explain the pride and occasional arrogance attributed to some Elves.
Over time the Elves followed different paths. The Mist Elves remained under the protection of their forests in Sênnurîel, while the White Elves ventured into the world to live among other species far from their old homeland.
White Elves and Mist Elves remain devoted to the deities of light, especially Arwênia, Lady of the Forests and Mother of Nature, and Vergâs, Lord of the Mountains and Father of Life. For specific mechanical religion and class combinations, the Canon applies.
