It is one of the greatest mysteries of the age.
No one from whom the people of Oldôr have received reliable word is known to have crossed the Ocean of Deadly Chaos and then returned to report on the distant reaches beyond Oldôr. Many adventurers and sailors are said to have tried; none were ever heard from again.
Whether they reached their destination, whether other lands lie beyond the sea, or whether they lost their lives on the way cannot be said with certainty in these traditions. No known expedition that set out in search of distant continents found its way back to the old homeland.
Old legends and myths tell of reptilian beings that once came across the sea on raids and plundering expeditions, only to disappear just as suddenly. Perhaps there is truth in these stories, and something of great significance is still waiting out there to be discovered.
Oldôr itself, however, is already full of dangers and unresolved conflicts. Shadows rise across the lands, entire regions have been devastated, constellations have changed, and the armies of darkness have returned. Before distant horizons call, more than enough mysteries and dangers await at home.
Only a well-prepared group of adventurers should attempt such an expedition. Perhaps one day you will be the ones who return to Oldôr with news from unknown lands.
