Half-Elves are not especially common in Oldôr. Many live withdrawn in the wilderness because neither humans nor Elves always accept them as fully belonging, and they are often confronted with derogatory labels.

In principle, however, Half-Elves can feel at home in many places. In cities they can often be found in taverns near large marketplaces, where some of them drink, tell stories of ancient heroes, and perform legendary tales.

They not only enjoy telling stories of adventure but are equally willing to throw themselves into dangerous undertakings and battles.

In the inherited lore, many Half-Elves descend from violent unions, including sexual violence against Elven women. This dark origin is part of the existing world lore and is not a mechanical requirement for every individual character.

As a hybrid species, Half-Elves combine traits from their Elven and human heritage. The binding rules for inherited species talents are defined in the Canon and Compendium.

Their appearance and behaviour often resemble those of Elves, though their features may be somewhat rougher. Male Half-Elves in particular may have more pronounced body and facial hair.

Their build is often more muscular than that of many Elves. Half-Elves are not immortal, but they can reach a very great age.

Half-Elves move freely across Oldôr and can be found in many crafts and professions. Their high Intelligence also makes many of them gifted in magical arts.

Canonically, Half-Elves have a very broad class selection: of the eleven regular classes, only Necromancer is not available to them. Permitted religions depend on the specific species-class combination.
