Mist Elves

The Mist Elves are a peaceful and benevolent people whose hearts are warmed by forests, plants, and animals.

They live closely with nature and are generally guided by the deities of light. They care little for the world beyond their borders and usually view strangers with great scepticism.

Because of their ageless lives, they know and guard some of the oldest secrets of Oldôr—artefacts and relics long forgotten by humankind.

Mist Elves are masters of natural healing and magical arts, but rarely teach these skills to outsiders.

Because of their slender build and limited endurance they usually wear light cloth or leather armour. Canonically, their regular classes are Forest Hunter, Druid, Minstrel, Priest, Mage, and Shaman.

Canonical exception: a Mist Elf who becomes a Shaman follows Nêan'drul. This combination is explicitly valid and overrides the general association of Mist Elves with the light gods for this case.

Now and then a Mist Elf leaves the peace and protection of Sênnurîel out of a desire for adventure. They remain suspicious of strangers and are difficult to persuade to join an adventuring group.

Once trust is earned, however, a Mist Elf can be an extremely loyal companion who places great value on the welfare of the group. They avoid underground caves and similar environments whenever possible.

No Mist Elf would lightly lead strangers, or even close companions, into the hidden forests of Sênnurîel.

Mist Elves are somewhat smaller and more delicate than White Elves and move with remarkable grace and lightness.
