Bestiary
Stollenwürmer
Name not yet translated
Tunnel worms resemble Grolms somewhat, but they are considerably larger and usually have four or more legs. As their name suggests, these lesser dragons prefer mines, tunnels, caves, and ruins. Adapted to living and hunting in darkness, they possess darkvision. They like to ambush their prey and are not particularly selective. Most victims notice them only when it is already too late, and anyone who survives the first attack can count themselves lucky. If they cannot overpower their prey immediately or lose the element of surprise, they tend to make generous use of their corrosive saliva. A quick and strong adventurer should be able to bring one down. Tunnel worms also have a habit of hoarding glittering and attractive objects, so there may be something valuable among the junk.
