Warriors can be found almost everywhere in the land, especially wherever there is the scent of battle, blood, or rich spoils. They love taverns as much as the open wilderness and rugged mountains and feel at home on any battlefield. Warriors are wild folk who fear very little—except perhaps dying a natural death. It is said that, for a proper reward, they would descend to the bones of the world itself and challenge the dark gods to single combat.
Canonically, the Warrior class can be taken by Dwarves, Drûn Elves, Half-Elves, the Northern People, and Mitmaar Humans. Warriors can develop very different personalities. Some delight in violence and use it without much hesitation when it serves their goals. Others fight only when they believe it is right and compatible with their conscience and their deity.
The fighting techniques of those who choose the Warrior profession vary just as widely. Some strike wildly and hurl themselves into a true frenzy until the last enemy has fallen. Others develop elegant techniques and may almost resemble a Knight of Light, even though they do not fully share that order’s ideals.
To protect their greatest weapon—their own body—Warriors prefer armour made from the finest materials. A fully armed and experienced Warrior can inspire immense respect through appearance and presence alone.
A Warrior is a true master of weapons and can wield almost any instrument of war effectively. Warriors are reluctant to hide or flee from a fight. Their code is not as strict as that of the Knight of Light, but being branded a coward would be difficult to bear. For an adventuring company facing great danger, a master of open and fair combat is therefore a valuable companion.
Warriors will fight even when every sign is against them—and perhaps, now and then, a miracle truly happens.
Warriors are not inherently good or evil. Which religions are actually permitted depends on the canonical combination of species and class. Many Warriors revere Nêan’drul, Father of the Gods and Lord of Neutrality.
