Goblins

Name not yet translated

Small, mean, and treacherous are usually the first words that come to mind when speaking of goblins. Alone or in groups, they can be found in almost every region, where stealing and raiding are their preferred pursuits. As a rule they are cowardly and avoid a fight when an opponent looks dangerous. In groups they may become bolder and attack, but once enough of them have been killed—or their leader has fallen—they usually flee. Do not underestimate them, however, or the mistake may cost you your life.

“All I can say is that I hate these little beasts. Look away for a moment and they have stolen your bow. Luckily the tracks were fresh and the fellows have short legs, so I caught up with them quickly. They fell upon Zerkon and me in the darkness of a cave. The screams and whimpering... I still shudder when I remember that bloodbath. Zerkon, on the other hand, seemed to enjoy himself. At least I got my bow back.” —Phil the Ranger
