Bestiary
Tatzelwürmer
Name not yet translated
This gigantic relative of the tunnel worm is considerably more threatening. It is almost all muscle and, besides a murderous set of jaws, possesses a foul breath capable of paralyzing its victims. It walks on four legs and has small, stunted wings that are useful for neither flight nor gliding. It is thought to feed mainly on carrion, which may explain the terrible breath, although it will gladly take fresh meat when the opportunity arises. Like tunnel worms, Tatzelworms prefer to ambush unsuspecting creatures or travelers because they are not fast runners. They are heavily armored, so attacks should be aimed at the eyes and mouth. One more warning: no one should stand close to its jaws or directly behind a Tatzelworm. If you do, the fight may be a very short one.
