Sumpfspringer

Name not yet translated

Who has not heard the old horror stories about will-o'-the-wisps leading travelers astray in the marshes? There is more truth to those tales than many would believe. Sumpfspringer produce a light at the upper end of their dorsal fins and use it to lure prey closer. If a person or animal approaches too closely, the creatures launch themselves forward with their powerful hind legs and sink their teeth into the victim. Reports say that bites from Sumpfspringer heal very poorly and bleed for a long time, so such wounds should be treated as quickly as possible.
