Fast and sure-footed on four legs, the Hörsch is native to almost every region with meadows and forests. Its coat ranges from reddish brown to deep black, although in winter it turns uniformly white. Only the males need to be treated with particular caution, especially when they believe their herd is threatened. They carry impressive antlers and, when a fight begins, tend to use them in the most straightforward way possible: by charging straight through their opponents.
